For families thinking it over
The things on your mind, answered.
-
Yes — that's exactly what it's built for. Everything on your parent's side is kept very simple. They open the app, press one large button on the screen, and from there they just talk, the way they always would. Tomorine listens, and answers back. There's nothing to type and no menus to memorize. The family's app is a separate thing, and your parents never have to touch it. During the alpha, the Tomorine team helps each family personally, one household at a time.
-
It is. The everyday conversations stay between your parent and Tomorine alone. The only thing that ever reaches the family's app is what your parent has decided is all right to share. No word-for-word transcripts, no emotional analysis, no health scores are ever shown to the family. Your mother or father decides what to share, when, and with whom. Privacy here isn't a setting you switch on — it's protected from the very first day.
-
Yes, you can. Your family's stories belong to your family. Even after you cancel, the stories that have already arrived — and the voices within them — stay right there in the app. You can read them again, and hear the voice too. Once you cancel, no new conversations are recorded — but everything you gathered up to that point stays exactly where it is.
-
When that day comes, we give the family three things, all free of charge: every voice recording and transcript gathered until then; a digital book that gathers all the stories in one place; and ninety days of online access, along with an archived edition kept on our servers for five years. There are no premium products and no hidden charges. And we will never use their voice to say something new. It stays exactly as it was — their voice, and nothing else.

The family app runs on iPhone 8 and later (iOS 16 or above) and Android 10 and later. The same goes for your parent's side. It doesn't currently work on simplified senior phones or button-style feature phones. If you're not sure whether your parents' phone is compatible, the Tomorine team will check with you personally and talk it through after you sign up for early access.
